To access the largest wilderness complex in the Lower 48 you don’t need to mount an expedition, you just need Middle Fork Aviation.  From the sky, you can reach one of 18 wilderness airstrips deep in a canyon, on a high plateau, or at a resort outpost on the river. Arranging a drop off at any of these destinations is likely cheaper and easier than you might think.

Our pricing is extremely competitive, with variable rates based on departure locations, loading requirements, and destination. You can choose to fly from our base in Challis, Idaho, into your choice of airstrips. We can also pick you up in Boise, Hailey, or McCall

We work with numerous guides and outfitters who can help outfit your trip, or you can do your own logistics and rely on us to get you in and out of the Wilderness according to your own plan.  You can pack light, or bring all the luxuries of car camping.
